Could we trade Pierre to the Lions?

if anyone has to go let it be ingram. thomas has the second highest yards per attempt average on the team at 4.8. he also catches well out of the backfield. and we know he is a danger to break one at any moment. although ivory used mostly for the hard to gain yards actually has the highest yards per attempt at 5.0. on any other team ivory is 1000+ yard rusher. i dont want to lose him, but i think when his contract comes due we lose him anyway to someone who will pay him much more money and give him a bigger role in the offense. cadet show some promise and we know we struck gold with sproles. but ingram, doesnt really fit and he wasnt shy about saying he wasnt thrilled with his role in our offense. he feels that he could and should be an every down back, and i agree. so let him go somewhere else and do it. then maybe we can give ivory more money and keep him as well as thomas who i think comes due at the end of this year.

He'd never last enugh games to become a 1,000 yard rusher, and fumbles would probably land him on the bench.

Doesn't fit? I disagree completely. If I had to pick a RB that doesn't fit this offense, Ivory would top that list.

Ingram never said he wasn't thrilled with his role, he said he thinks he can be an everydown RB in this league, meaning running, short yardage, receiving and 3rd down. And Ingram isn't making much money at all.

PT is signed thru 2014.

lol what do you think that means? it means he wants more touches and he wont get them on a 4 back offense. its not always the words they say, but more so what is implied.

I think you're reading something that isn't there.

Here's the quote you're probably referring to...

"I believe any way that the coaches need me to contribute in this offense, that's what I'm going to do and that's what I'm happy to do," Ingram said. "In my eyes, I've always thought that I'm an every-down back, an all-purpose back, a guy who can run inside, a guy who can run outside, a guy who can run routes and catch the ball out of the backfield and pick up yards for you, and a pass protector. I don't label myself as a short yardage back or a power back. I think I'm an all-purpose back that can play for you on every down no matter what it is."

And from that you got he's unhappy with his role in this offense? Thats a stretch.

Why on earth would we trade Ingram? We haven't even fully worked him into the rotation yet? We really don't know what kind of back we have in him. The sky is the limit for that guy. Im not saying trade PT but if I was forced to pick between the two i would trade PT. Ingram is younger and from what little I have seen from him is a mad man. I think you are going to see exactly why we drafted him the way we did this year.
