QB Sean Canfield completed 31-of-45 passes for 288 yards. The Saints will face the Washington Redskins to start the regular season on September 9.
The New Orleans Saints fell to the Tennessee Titans, 10-6, in the preseason finale for both clubs at Nashville’s LP Field on Thursday night. New Orleans ends the 2012 preseason at 2-3. The Saints rested the majority of their starting lineup in their fifth preseason contest, and following the formation of the 53-man roster this weekend, they will return to the practice field in Metairie on Monday to prepare for their 2012 season opener vs. the Washington Redskins on September 9 at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. Assistant Head Coach/Linebackers Coach Joe Vitt said after the game that he was very proud of how the team handled the preseason. “This a good football team with character individuals,” said Vitt. “Our players are accountable to one another and will be fun to watch.” Saints Fall to Titans, 10-6 |

Re: Saints Fall to Titans, 10-6
The game didn't matter unless you were fighting for a roster spot. With the exception of Cadet.

... yeah, it's preseason ... even the 1972 Miami Dolphins lost half their preseason games (3-3) before their 'perfect' season and the Lions were 'Pre-Season Champs' in 2008 (4-0) prior to their not-so-'perfect' season, ... so take it with a grain-of-salt, eh?

Re: Saints Fall to Titans, 10-6
I would find it startling that the Titans started Locker for 2 quarters was it? and he did nothing.
Their first 3 pts was off a turnover. Their last 7 was off 3rd string vs 3rd string. However I would think Cadet or Ivory would of scored if they were worth keeping, perhaps Cadet needs more experience, I dunno. |

I thought our defense was put in all kinds of compromising positions and held their ground. 26 starters were inactive for the game. The Titans played more starters I believe. Think it was a great close to the preseason.

Canfield is terrible. Dumpoffs for every completion. Anything down field was picked off or nearly picked off. Weak arm. Accurate. No vision on reads.

I was near Drew when he warmed up. He was throwing out routs and I held up my hands. He smiled but didn't throw it to me
