bahaahha, I swear that is so accurate. That is what they do- they watch one game or a few highlights-

True, and they don't know the difference between installing a defense and evaluating players during a practice game versus real games where you're gameplanning and scheming.

Preseason isn't totally meaningless, but the stats and scores certainly are.
