Chris Ivory Trade
From what I'm hearing, there are three obstacles to the trade of Chris Ivory...
First, the Saints learned a terrible lesson against the Seahawks and had they had someone to tote the rock they would have won that playoff game against Seattle had they had some balance to their offense that playoff season despite the exposure of the Williams Defense without Sharper as fraud... Second, Detroit may prefer a proven commodity like MJD; Jags may not be willing to give up their best player easily and they may have to sit a few weeks to let the message stick with the help that you don't hold out... Third, Saints may not be getting the value they want for the risk of Ivory coming back to bite them later; also, "Ivory may not be the back the Saints want to trade" - what does that means?!? |
It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...

Re: Chris Ivory Trade
Pittsburg. MJD reported to practice, doesn't mean they won't trade him but it looks like he has decided to play. I don't see us getting much in return for Ivory and I doubt we would part with PT. Who knows though, whatever our FO does is fine with me. If anything happens it will happen before Loomis goes on suspension.

Re: Chris Ivory Trade
Great fit for the Saints but any team looking for a starter...just seems like there are better options available. Does anyone think he could start more than 5 games without going down? I don't. Certainly not worth a pick.

Re: Chris Ivory Trade
I doubt anyone would want him and a lot of scouts/front offices would consider him to be a nobody from a small school and with fumbling and injury problems to boot. 3rd string running backs are a dime a dozen in the NFL.

Re: Chris Ivory Trade
I don't see the need or rush to trade anyone. A draft pick, at best probably no better than a 5th, is marginal for next season. If Thomas, Ingram, or Sproles goes down, Ivory could be invaluable THIS season.

Re: Chris Ivory Trade
If anyone is traded, it would have been Cadet.
I would rather the Saints trade a rookie than a proven veteran like Ivory. |
