Saints 2012 Team Captains
The Saints held a team dinner on Sunday night at Emeril’s Delmonico in New Orleans and selected their team captains for the 2012 season, just one week before the Saints open the regular season in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome against the Washington Redskins.
Two players were selected from both the offensive and defensive sides of the ball with the fifth captain coming from the special teams unit. Quarterback Drew Brees and tackle Zach Strief were selected as the offensive captains while safeties Roman Harper and Malcolm Jenkinswill represent the defensive unit. Wide receiver and special teams ace Courtney Roby will represent the Special Teams unit for the second consecutive year. Continue reading.
