Steve Spagnuolo makes his debut as Saints defensive coordinator trying to throw wrinkles at the Heisman Trophy winner. Drew Brees faces just the sort of corners he can undress with ease as he enters the season after breaking Dan Marino's passing mark in 2011. This game has no shortage of intrigue, and you could maybe argue it being foot-long worthy, if I thought it would be more competitive.

What To Watch For: Griffin had difficulty finding the open man when teams rolled their safeties in the preseason. He also didn't see much zone blitzing. ... Will the Redskins go heavy spread and run elements of the Pistol? I'm hearing that's quite possible, with this offense possibly looking a lot like the rudimentary stuff the Oilers/Titans ran when Steve McNair was learning the pro game. ...
