Re: Saints 0-1, Packers 0-1.............
Definitely, a division win this weekend will help settle everyone down. Win the division first and worry about the homefield advantage second. Home field is just huge this year for us. Not a deal breaker if we don't get the #1 seed, just a plus. Everyone is blowing it up and venting today, and that's OK for a Monday. Even the "experts" (LOL) are shocked after this game. Let the negative threads end today and let's start getting ready for the Panthers tomorrow.

Steelers/Broncos: I was a little surprised here, last season's #1 defense in Pittsburgh up against one of the worst offensive lines of last year in Denver. Manning looked far better then I thought he would. Gonna' have to reevaluate the Broncos. Giants/Cowboys: Romo won't be able to sustain it for the entire season, and he didn't have that great a game anyway. Cruz must have dropped more balls in this one then he did the entire last season, eh? Saints/Redskins: RGIII ... the kid's a baller ... I was expecting him to be a little more nervous in his NFL debut. Saints secondary did not look good. Lions/Rams: Former New Orleans practice squad player, running back Joquie Bell (#35), scores Detroit's first TD of the 2012 season ... Lions secondary did not look good as well, Stafford w/three picks in first half ... on the up side, Detroit dramatically cut down on the penalties/mental mistakes and the run game looked decent for a change. Eagles/Browns: Ok, so Philly won ... it was neither impressive or good ... why the 'experts' are so high on Philadelphia every year, IDK. Some of the sluggishness/miscues of the first week (ie ... Packers, Saints, Giants, Lions, Eagles), I attribute to the level of intensity, or lack of, in training camps nowadays. It'll take a few more weeks of full-speed football for these guys to get back into the tempo. For now, opposing NFC North, South and East fans should just enjoy the Packers, Saints & Giants being listed at the bottom of their divisions ... they won't be there for long ... although the Giants do seem to have their work cut out for them now with Washington & Dallas. |

Some of you put a little too much value on "last year", "picked to win", "better team".
All of the same talking heads you do not listen to when they rank the Saints 15th in the power rankings all of a sudden become validated when it helps your conspiracy theory? |

Yes, losing the opener is very disappointing...after our offense scored 77 points in the playoffs last year, it's a bit of a let down for us.

We give RG3 credit, he is a great pick for you guys and looks like worth everything you gave up to get him, good for you. I'm still pretty sure you don't want to see us again, especially if you make it to the playoffs. Anyway, enjoy it, it was a big win for you. |
