Quick thought
One of the things that troubled me the most and the ONLY thing that made me say "This could be a long season" is the fact that our O line was so porous. This is really something that Drew has not had to deal with here and obviously with more pressure comes more QB contact. We really need to protect our high paid commodity.

Re: Quick thought
True, the tackles are not really starter quality, IMO.
And if the opposing D-lineman continuously puts his hands up to pat the passes down... the O-lineman should make him pay for that and put him on his back, at least once in a while... Bushrod couldn't really contain Orakpo, and allowed him to have his hands up in the passing lanes without making him pay for that - that to me was just a below the par performance, and once of the reasons why he should probably be allowed to walk after the season ends if he isn't willing to take a pay cut in the next contract. Strief is a back up player, so I wouldn't even expect him to shine as a starter, and that is why I'm not being as harsh on him. |

Re: Quick thought
The O-line had a terrible game last year also, then pulled their **** together, and had a good season. Let's hope they do that again. The run game is absent and Drew can't be Drew with this type of O-line production.

Re: Quick thought
Orakpo gives even pro-bowl linemen fits, Bushrod had no chance... Kerrigan is pretty damn good too

Re: Quick thought
Last years star de la Puenta struggled mightily and both tackles disappointed me terribly. Now, why is Bushrod still on this team?
