Plenty O' Suckage 2 Go Round -- YOU! CROWD!
While we're doing the monday morning finger pointing, allow me to call out another major player in New Oreans Saints Football: YOU.
You sucked yesterday, WhoDats. C'mon, man up & admit it. THIS! Was your Big Bad We're Mad Homecoming Massacre ???? Really? What a weenie-fest. The Texans fans bring more than that, in their cushy, padded, corporate seats. Now, admittedly, the Roger Conspiracy continues, with security officials electing to "wand" us, which means 1/3 of the crowd wasnt there for kickoff. Or the first two series. Expect this every home game this year, and get up off your drunk azz, and get into the Dome line early. There might have been two downs, where we reached our potential, noise-wise yesterday, one of them just before "12 men on the field, still Redskins ball." I actually lean toward "sit" on the sit-or-stand controversy, because I believe in being considerate to people behind you, but there are numerous times you should stand--- and raise absolute hell. And my section, in the Girod St. side of the Terrace, looked very comfy, in those seats designed for 12 year old anorexia sufferers. Would you princesses like a pretty pink pillow? Yes, I drink moderately, as do you, and it is NOON, and we were all up late, BUT--- this is Saints Football. Two words: Irish Coffee. Again, I think you should be considerate to the old people behind you, and the fat people too, by alternating your sitting/standing. But James Brown says Get Up Offa That Thing. Top Row Sitting Guys: You are supposed to BANG THE WALL! Where were you? If you cannot or will not perform the duties of top row sitting, please relinquish your seats to someone who is a man. YOU MUST BANG THE METAL WALL at the top of the Superdome. Leaving early. You have the right. nyea nyeah nyeah...gimmemyblankie...nyeayaanyea.... yeah, I know.... blah blah blah.... If Drew makes the Hail Mary at the end, we have a shot at the wildest comeback since Bills-Oilers. And then, like the people who lie about being there for Dempsey's Kick, you would be equally weak. I drive 300 miles & I have to make sense on the radio Monday morning in Houston. I dont want to hear it. Thanks to you, the Redskins had a nice Home Game in the Superdome--- and you should have seen the big "RG III ! RG III ! celebration they had on OUR 50 YARD LINE seats, LaSalle St. side. You cut and run on us. They were singing Hail to the Redskins all the way down the (not-so this year) slippery ramps & we were outnumbered. This is the NFL, where guts win. Every year, the champion is a team that has overcome --- look at our Miami game in our Super Bowl year. Look at the comebacks of all great teams. We will HAVE to win at least one game, where we were losing, if we will be champions, and it is entirely possible that that win will be sparked by energy created by YOU. If you'll grow some guts. You at Home: What did you wear at kickoff? Did you have the right socks? Did you approach your seat or coffee table or barstool from the correct side? Where was your gris gris? Did you eat or drink the right breakfast? Or did you eat some weird organic thing? Did you wear the right jersey? Was it clean or dirty & should it be clean? (mine must be dirty.) Religious people, did you pray correctly in church? Heathen, did you dance the correct dance around your fire? Carflag? Shoe White? Facepaint? What did you do wrong? ME: Yes I was complacent. I was busy cavorting with my wife at a nice plantation home this weekend. I drank not a single hurricane saturday night. I did not do a single push up that morning. And my greatest infraction? It shames me to admit--- I completely forgot my Big Chin Guy (Sir Saint) rooting towel. We were 6-0 in my Hebert Jersey, yes, but this was typical in the whole sickening complacency, thinking we could win without Big Chin Guy. I will correct this immediately after work, placing him in my gym bag. Also, I did not correctly focus my rooting eye rays at the snap of the ball. Oh, and the usher lady did not hug me on the way in. In summary: Drew sucked. The Saints sucked. The refs sucked. The Crowd sucked. You sucked. I sucked. And the Hotels gouged everyone. Lets do better next time. |

I hear ya Skymike. I was home, and in the chatroom until almost the very end, never turned off the TV, kept hoping for a miracle. I think our guys looked drained. There was no emotion, no fire. Maybe all the events of the week, the suspensions being overturned, the tumultuous ride this offseason has been finally took its toll on our Saints. I don't remember looking this flat since haslett and brooks.

15 more games... plenty of football left.
The New Orleans Saints are playing football on September 16, 2012 at the Carolina Panthers. Can't wait to see how we rebound. And for some, since the season is done, crawl back into that hole where you came from. |

I am saying you cant put so much emphasis on one game. While we all sit here and state the obvious, it doesn't change the fact that while we sucked in the Redskins game we more than likely wont suck moving forward. We have areas of concern but it is areas of concern based on one game. A 2-3 week pattern of the same type of game play will be room for concern.
