Payton speaks about Panthers game. He says stuff
Sean Payton said New Orleans Saints will handle coming back from loss the 'right way' - New Orleans Saints Football NFL News - NOLA.com
"You feel like you're watching your own family members so when they experience a loss, it's frustrating," Payton said. "I think it's more frustrating when you're just sitting back afar from a couch watching." He said he feels removed from the team and yet he feels so close to the situation at the same time. So Payton understandably watched last Sunday's game with the keen eye expected by a coach and with the heart of an adoring fan. "I sat down with a pad and paper and watched the game," Payton said. "Just started eating a bunch of junk food in the fourth quarter when they were losing." I want our god damned coach back. |

What I wouldn't give to see what was scribbled on that paper.
"Run the damned ball!" |

How do you "abandon the run too early", and end up with the #6 rushing offense? |

That Sonofa***** set our franchise back about 4 years. About the window we would have had to continue to be an elite team with Brees at the helm.

I am noticing a pattern here...
First it was the plays Coach uses with his son's team, being the same plays he uses with the Saints, and being written on wrist bands. Now he's sitting on his couch watching the game and taking notes on paper, that will end up in his garbage. |

I think I'm going to rifle through his garbage. Once it hits the street it's public property.

But then sometime in 2009, Payton literally had an "Aha!" moment about running the ball, and became more balanced from that point forward. I remember reading him say this specifically in an interview. Because what happened in 2009 was that right after the 2008 season ended, Payton and the coaches did an "autopsy" on 2008, they went through the whole season and said, what happened here, what could we have done better? Because it was so disappointing. And since then, from 2009 up to last year, Payton was a lot more balanced, a lot more committed to the run, and look at the improved record for those three seasons, the improved rushing standings, etc. etc. |

Where do you think that scribbled on piece of paper went, to the garbage so a garbage man could accidentally pick it up and let say give it to the current coaching staff. Just a thought |
Re: Payton speaks about Panthers game. He says stuff
Does anyone really think he has no communications of some kind with the team?

The kind of **** that got us in trouble is some ass wipe discussed something that went on in the locker room, true or not it should have never happened and I'll go as far as to say this person or people lied or stretched the truth just a little.
I think it's Jeremy Suckey |

If anything, I think Kromer would run the ball 8 times out of 10, because he is the running game coordinator along with being the O-line coach.
If you want to blame somebody for the lack of running plays in the defeat against the Redskins - blame Carmichael, because he was the one calling the plays as far as I've understood the hierarchy between the coaches. |
Re: Payton speaks about Panthers game. He says stuff
For the umpteenth time, people-- it's NOT Shockey. It was a former assistant defensive coach, who got let go/fired and held a grudge . Darren Sharper laid it all out in an interview on WWL, he said everything you need to figure it out, except the guy's name. NOT Shockey.

Re: Payton speaks about Panthers game. He says stuff
If you want to blame someone for the lack of running plays...I would probably start with the entire defense.

I think Payton let that little quote about the pad and paper slip in there on purpose, just to give the NFL fits, and to make them lose a little sleep about how they are going to enforce this thing for a whole year. Shows how absurd the whole thing is! |
