Both picks are on Brees. First one he stared down Jimmy the whole time, never looked the LB off to the right. Second one was way too high. I don't want to hear it hit his hands BS. Colston was 3 feet in the air fully extended just to touch that ball. You don't throw that pass to your #1 receiver over the middle unless you're trying to get him killed. With all that said I blame the play calling or lack of. You know the 9ers can rush the passer, why are we calling long developing plays? Throw some quick slants, run a couple toss sweeps. Roll Brees out of the pocket a little, don't just stand in the pocket and get sacked because you're playing a 4th string RT. Carmichael blew this game.

Time is running out. We may not get another franchise quarterback for 50 years. Payton and crew have to have a defense next year. Drafting defensive players has to be more successfull. All the high picks on Defensive lineman yield us no pass rush. Nobody can tackle. Look at the Niners and Ravens defenses, pass rush of the Giants. We ought to have at least a little defense.
