The Solution To Our Problems / What Sean Payton Would Say
I'm not going to be Naive and pretend that Our Saints Players aren't aware of this forum and don't read these posts. So If A Coach or a Player is reading this please take it seriously.
1. Running the Ball - How Does PT Have 9 Carries for over 100 Yards and we lose ? Thats Bo Jackson Like. When we ran the ball we wore their defense down , When we ran the ball we consistently achieved 1st Downs , When we ran the Ball Jimmy Graham and Other Targets were more open and more importantly , when we ran the ball THE OTHER OFFENSE WAS OFF THE FIELD FOR AN EXTENDED TIME ( Which Gives Our D A Chance To Recoop WHICH WE KNOW NOW THEY NEED BADLY ) Ingram Thomas Ivory Sproles Cadet , WE HAVE NO EXCUSE FOR DREW NEEDING TO THROW OVER 300 Yards !!! We Should Run and Gun I was laughed at for Saying this a while back but now I look like Einstien. We should run a VERY similar Version of the 49'ers Offense , Keep in Mind Drew Brees doesn't have Sean Payton to Lean on and Tidy Everything Up. That's our Problem , Payton Created this complicated passing Offense , without the creator in tact being off even a tidly bit is disastrous , Its a timing offense which means being off just a moment is the difference between 1st and 4th down . Don't believe me ? Look at our Record ... Running the Ball also Drains the Clock and Theoretically gives our defense a better chance being that the oppositions offense can only be on the field so long. As a result of limited time on the field they are also off sync because they are hurried. They don't have time to get their Stuff together and Make our D look like All Americans. This is what the Ravens Do , What Pittsburgh was Famous for in the 70's , and what the 49'ers have reinvented. For any Skeptics on Whether Im Right or Wrong , Old School Football ( Run First San Francisco ) Beat New School ( Packers Offense ) because of the way everything is closely related to eachother. Running = More Open WR & Gives D A Boost , Gets the Opposition out of Sync Offensively and we Dictate the Temp |

We tried that today, PT had 100+, Ingram ran for 50+, and Sproles had 180 all purpose yards and we still lost without a defense... |

We Got away from it and tried to get back to it way too late in the game . If we run the ball CONSISTENTLY ALL GAME we will win more No Matter the Opponent . Do not lose hope , The Giants lost 8 and Won a Ring We can Certainly do more with 2 Losses and Drew Brees.

The 49ers built a terrific defense and the offense was an afterthought... |

The San Franscisco Offense is nothing to be afraid of. Their Defense is what makes them so good. Alex Smith is an average QB and you will see him revert to his true form as the season progresses.

Yeah, but Payton is not here and we need to to do what is going to help us. Even Payton would run the ball more if it helps us when more games.

Hell! Drew throws for 300, and we run for 180 or so and still lost, no way you get 480 yards with the 9er type run first offense... |

Re: The Solution To Our Problems / What Sean Payton Would Say
So many threads. So much to read. I want to hear what others have said. I won't post though. Too many threads. I understand everyone's disappointment.
I am just tired. About to turn in. My thoughts today... Flashback. I had a flashback watching todays ' game to the old days when you went to a Saints or watched just for fun. Maybe the Saints would win and maybe they would not. You always knew they would most likely lose and that was ok. Saints winning was always a real surprise and just an upset for the other team. The opposing teams would know, well, they could count on a win playing against the Saints. Today felt like that. Panters #41 really played well. Newton #1 was doing his Superman thing, showboating , running out of the pocket. He is not that good of a QB. Really. I remember going to the games and I used to like to watch John Forucade run out the pocket. It was funny. Entertaining. My dad and others used to tell that no it wasn't and that was not good because the O line shifts. Losing time. Creating holes. Opposing team's defense can seize the moment there. Umm, where was the Saints 'Defense? They didn't seize no moments. Newton and those fake passes. I counted two of those. I heard the commentators say they they had practiced that a few times. Something like that. Where I was watching the game, I could not hear all of what was said. Newton had a good game. Very skilled . Saints looked like they were not really trying. The O line, Defense. Whatever. Tackling? Whatever. Brees? Panthers offense and defense really played a good game and made it look kind of easy. Panter #89 in 4th qrtr. Good play. How many yards was that big play? Moving the ball quickly. Scoring again. Last week, the Saints lost that game more than the Redskins won. Penalities. Dropping the ball. This week, no body really showed up that much for work. Brees out of training camp for a while, yeah, I think it is hurting him. 4th qrtr. Terry Bradshaw said that not having Coach Sean P....how much of a good coach he was and is there is what is lacking and how he has the great ability to call plays from sideline as the game changes. Something like this. I know Terry Bradshaw really sang Sean Payton's praises today. He is not there. The team of players, coaching staff under him are all pretty much there. Dropping passes (last week) . Missing tackles (this week). What seems missing is the Mon-Sat. Film? What is going on in practice? Sidelines? In locker room at half time? Fines for being late, nodding off during the work week of practice and film review and things? What? They did not look prepared. I think Sean P. is not a very nice man. That is , I think off camera as in during Saints locker room at half time, during week of practice, on the plane, I think he grills them hard. Before , last year and back, you know Saints down at half, they got their azzes out there 3 and 4 and hustled and made it work even if they lost. Even if they did not win, it was not an embarrassing thing like this. Yeah, I think Sean P was not really nice to them in the locker room. Now, I guess they put their feet up and have a sip of Gatorade. Sean P is not here. Nothing can be done about. It doesnt' make much sense to talk about it because it is old news and done. They have to move on and get it together. They are still a pro team with so much talent. They are better than these two games. I know teams have rebuilding years. I think these current Saints have one more good year , this year, before rebuilding. |

Today Was One Of Those Shoulda Coulda Woulda Games....Steve Smith Shoulda Got Flagged For That Hold On The Stewart Touchdown....We Coulda Won If We Let Pierre Run More...He Was The More Dominant Back He Was In The Zone So Why Would We Keep Trying To Get Ingram Going?? And We Woulda Been Better Off Without That Pick Six Drew Threw Early In The Game

The only thing sean payton would say would be " Hey Spags, You suck thanks for making the boys worse than they were last year"
