The biggest problem we have faced the last two weeks is that the the team has zero urgency. Case in point, with 4 minutes left Drew and crew were still getting into the huddle and utilizing the entire play clock. It took over 2 minutes to finish that drive. Once they did score they decide to onside the kick off? Why? You have two timeouts. Play the field position. I was on the side of the fans who were not worried about Payton being gone, but now I can see there is a huge difference. These next three weeks before the bye are VERY important. 3-2 makes everyone forget how you started the season 2-3 / 1-4 or God forbid 0-5 and we can start talking about draft picks.

Yeah it makes no sense. Same thing in the Arizona game a year or two ago. You have MR. AMBUSH standing right there on the sidelines, and yet you let the finicky emo kid handle the onside kick? What gives?

The first no-brainer part of it is that if Hartley is out there, it immediately GIVES AWAY that it's an onside kick. With Morstead there, the other team at least has to put somebody back at the goal line. Maybe we should take this as a positive sign, that the Saints special teams are still just as wonky and erratic as ever. It seems to be the one area of the team where things are looking the exact same as they usually do!
