Saints report: Expect slow-starting Marques Colston to get more involved
METAIRIE, La.—New Orleans Saints wide receiver Marques Colston’s season has gotten off to a slow start by his usual standard, with seven catches for 120 yards and no touchdowns through two weeks.
He was especially off in Week 1, with a fumble and an uncharacteristic drop, which led to questions about whether he was fully recovered from a minor foot injury. In Week 2, though, he looked fine while catching three balls for 49 yards. His muted performance was more about the Carolina Panthers’ decision to keep the Saints’ receivers out of the game and prevent explosive plays.
