Expectations for today's game
Most importantly the W
But there's a couple things I'm expecting to see from our team; All we've been hearing is how we lost to two QB's that run the read option and can be a dual threat, if this is really case and its not just a crappy defense then surely we should come out flying on D today. I want to see cassel under pressure all the time, throwing of his back foot and atleast 2-3 sacks I want atleast 2 picks, Patrick Robinson was being bigged up all offseason and I haven't seen him make an sort of impact yet, he gets in good position for the ball and then drops it I want to shut down the outsides especially, because if jamaal Charles gets out there he'll be in the endzone Offense needs to keep the balance, don't go one dimensional just because brees throws some incompletions Give the ball to PT for two reasons, he's a beast and he's in my fantasy team Give sproles the ball!! Sproles hasn't got a rushing attempt yet this season, which is insane Steady dose of PT, sproles and Ingram and you'll notice a whole lot more time for drew to pick apart the D Obvious points I know, but its the little things we have to get right READY FOR THE GAME! WHO DAT! |

Re: Expectations for today's game
I EXPECT the defense to look better than a Pop Warner team playing the '72 Dolphins.
I EXPECT the receivers to invest in stick 'um if they haven't learned to hold on to the ball yet. I EXPECT our pass blocking to protect Drew Brees as if they were all Liam Neeson trying to get his family back in "Taken". I EXPECT Drew Brees to not force passes into places tighter than a frog's butt. I EXPECT our starters to play with their heads on a swivel. Not due to the opponent, but due to the fact that their job may not be safe if they continue to screw up with stupid penalties and brain farts. I EXPECT the Saints to win this game by a spread larger than an old Jenna Jameson porn scene. Will any of this happen? Who knows? I sure as hell EXPECT it to happen, though. |

Re: Expectations for today's game
I have no expectation, not after the first two weeks. And that is not directed at you D It Up, cause you're right- that is what we should expect!! I just don't know what to expect. My personal feeling is that the Skins and Panties are not good teams (time will tell), and we were thoroughly beaten by both. I hope that we eliminate mistakes, start to play more sound D, and start to resemble the team we can be.
My biggest hope, even more so than our D improving is our protection of Drew!! That we need to see! |
Your team stinks

Re: Expectations for today's game
The most i can hope for is that the offense executes and the defense show SOME improvement.

Re: Expectations for today's game
I'll be excited to see the defense get off the bus and cross the street because they seemed confused by simple tasks the last two weeks.
I definitely want to see improvement. Safely crossing the street is a good place for them to start. |

There's one or two I wouldn't mind see fail in that task.
