Week 3: Who WhoDats Want Winning (Quad-W)

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 23rd

Week 3, Game 1: BUCCANEERS @ COWBOYS

a. Why it is important: Division rival vs. conference rival.
b. Desired outcome: Pull for the Cowboys (...did I say that?). Dallas rebounds after last week’s loss, but the Bucs will give them a fight. As usual, turnovers will play a big part in who comes out on top. As I have said before: Take care of your division, and you’re in the playoffs. Worry about seeding later.
c. Confidence factor for a good outcome: Hard-fought game; Cowboys win. 6 out of 10.

Week 3, Game 2: Jaguars @ Colts
N/A: AFC game

Week 3, Game 3: Bills @ Browns
N/A: AFC game

Week 3, Game 4: Jets @ Dolphins
N/A: AFC game

Week 3, Game 5: Chiefs @ Saints
a. Why it is important: Saints need to get in the win column. Right now, our boys are in LAST PLACE in the NFC South. It’s early yet, but we cannot afford to drop this one. Not only that, but even if we win, we will STILL be in last place, because we will not have won a division or conference game.
b. Desired outcome: Saints need to get in the win columm—PERIOD!
c. Confidence factor for a good outcome: If we have ZERO turnovers, Saints win big. But let’s hope they don’t get OVERconfident after this one. 7.5 out of 10

Week 3, Game 6: Bengals @ Redskins
a. Why it is important: Redskins are a conference rival, AND they now own the tiebreaker (head-to-head) with the Saints.
b. Desired outcome: Pull for the WhoDey’s (Bengals).
c. Confidence factor for a good outcome: This is the Redskins’ home opener, and they will be sky-high! I don’t have much confidence in the Bengals to pull off a win at Washington! 2.5 out of 10

Week 3, Game 7: Rams @ Bears
a. Why it is important: Two conference rivals go head-to-head.
b. Desired outcome: Hard to say. I say that with the Bears being in the more competitive division, they won’t make it as a Wild Card. The Rams look to be one of the more improved teams in the league. Pull for the Rams, but it’s a toss-up.
c. Confidence factor for a good outcome: Da Bears still have a running game, and the Rams have to prove they can win on the road. 4.5 out of 10.

Week 3, Game 8: 49’ers @ Vikings
a. Why it is important: Two conference rivals go head-to-head.
b. Desired outcome: 49’ers look very good early on. They are undefeated, and atop the NFC West. Pull for the Vikings.
c. Confidence factor for a good outcome: The last time the 49’ers played at Minnesota, Brett Favre’s late game heroics snatched a victory from the jaws of defeat. Mike Singletary’s 49’ers were not the same after that game. 3.5 out of 10

Week 3, Game 9: Lions @ Titans
a. Why it is important: Lions are a conference rival
b. Desired outcome: Pull for the Titans.
c. Confidence factor for a good outcome: Megatron and Titus Young should have a big day, although Tennessee is improved and plays a lot better at home. 4 out of 10.

Week 3, Game 10: Falcons @ Chargers
a. Why it is important: Falcons lead the NFC South with a 2-0 record.
b. Desired outcome: Pull for the Chargers.
c. Confidence factor for a good outcome: Falcons might get ambushed in this one, after that big MNF win last week. San Diego is a team on the rise, and they will play well at home. Atlanta’s secondary is vulnerable. This is my mild Upset Special. 6 out of 10

Week 3, Game 11: Eagles @ Cardinals
a. Why it is important: Two conference rivals go head-to-head.
b. Desired outcome: Eagles are undefeated, and need to come back down to earth. Pull for the Cardinals (at home)
c. Confidence factor for a good outcome: Should be a close game, but Philly may have too many options for Arizona to stop. 4.5 out of 10.

Week 3, Game 12: Broncos @ Texans
N/A: AFC game

Week 3, Game 13: Steelers @ Raiders
N/A: AFC game

Week 3, Game 14: Texans @ Broncos
N/A: AFC game

Week 3, Game 15: Patriots @ Ravens
N/A: AFC game

MONDAY SEPTEMBER 24th (MNF)

Week 3, Game 16: Packers @ Seahawks
a. Why it is important: Two conference rivals go head-to-head.
b. Desired outcome: Pull for the Seahawks
c. Confidence factor for a good outcome: Seattle always plays tough at home, and they will be sky-high on Monday night. If the Packers get out to an early lead, they may win going away. But if Seattle keeps it close, they could pull off the upset. 4.5 out of 10.
