Re: THIS DEFENSE STINKS
We haven't had pass rushers since La'Roi Glover and Joe Johnson.

Re: THIS DEFENSE STINKS
I really am liking Jordan, I think he'll get better, and I prefer seeing more of Hicks. Maybe there's a reason Spags is bringing him along slowly. I thought Hicks had a decent game today. From what I could tell

Re: THIS DEFENSE STINKS
The Def line doesnt' exaclty scare anyone. The sacks and pressures we do get come 5-7+ seconds into a play it seems. Never because we've got the QB on the run from the snap of the ball. Every once in a blue moon things align for the DBs and coverage holds long enough for a Def lineman to touch the QB. Why do you think that last year Williams brough Harper on those blitzes and why he led the team in sacks? Because the guys on the front four just don't get the push necessary to pressure QBs.
Sorry P Robinson, but when you walk out of the dome tonight it should be with all your stuff in hand. He seemed to be not totally clueless on the field in this game but he gives up too many 3rd and long completions. I think I can explain the rush def very easily. Our biggest problem is we only have 1 out of 5 CBs that are of starter caliber and that pulls the safeties out of the box and makes them play deeper in coverage. The LB corps is ok but I tell ya, I would have liked to have hold onto Dunbar and have him in the mix. He tore it up in Vilma's absence last year and to me is sorely missed in the middle of the field. |
