Now it makes sense why Sean wanted Bill as our interim. Bill is known as a disciplinarian. Sp must have known there would be issues with accountability. I think when deal couldn't be worked out with Bill we went with the next strictest guy Vitt. Spags is new and known as soft spoken as well as Pete Carmicheal Jr. Kromer won by default. It is disheartening to see no accountability for mistakes. I remember when Reggie was a hotshot Heisman winner and Sp would grab him by the face mask like he was in high school or when Mike Bell was wearing the wrong cleats during the Super Bowl. He never got another snap. That is what is missing. I think Drew is a product of Sp and Sp is not in game planning to exploit mismatches and script those first ten plays. He always put us on the move to start and put the D on its heels to start the game. The talk of Bree's being a coach on the field was over exaggerated. And last year when Payton was out he was still involved in game planning and scripting the first plays and he was definitely in Petes ear giving him advice. The defense hasn't gelled, which I expected but thought our O would out score the first three teams we played. I have sen glimpses of the D catching on but it will take time. Remember we have won 13 in a row before and I know this is not the same team but we do defy odds. In 09 we were the first team to lose our last three games and make it to the Super Bowl, now we have to be the first to lose our first three. We just haven't put it together yet but they will, hopefully it is not to late. I amazingly think we we will beat Green Bay. I know it is crazy but I have a feeling. The heat is on, time to play desperate. We can do it one game at a time. We play Atlanta twice, it is not too late but it is time. We will pull it together mark my words.

Re: Parcells
The heat is on we will respond. It's time to reboot and get a little revenge on the Pack. We are like a cornered wounded animal-dangerous. The team has said they got tight towards the end of the game, well now there is no pressure we aren't suppose to beat anybody now. No pressure. We are spoiled with the Saints dominating, so we stumbled, but don't jump ship now. We have the talent to beat anyone. We need to adjust and we will. If Bree's gets hot we will roll. We have won 13 in a row before and I see the same core players. Spags d will work but it's a culture shock. He will get it together and I definitely saw signs at times they were starting to get it. Our d will never be good with the o keeping them on the field have the game. We will prevail I can feel it. We win the next two and we go into the bye and on only get better. As I watch the Patriots game I can't help it buy think the refs ARE effecting the outcomes of games. There were 5 or 6 O Pi calls today against the Saints not called. Not an excuse jut an observation. It's a different game right now.

Re: Parcells
The good thing is most of the NFC contenders for playoff spots we still play. The loss to Carolina will hurt division wise but not head to head as they won't be there in the end. Cam is self imploding. The redskins I don't think will be there either, we need to start knocking out NFC playoff contenders starting with green bay. We still have Philly new York Dallas San Fran Atlanta Tampa bay. We can do this. The margin of error is small but hopefully we got most of the errors out in these three weeks.

Re: Parcells
I think the Saints made a monumental mistake when it came to the head coaching job for this year. As soon as Payton was suspended for the year, they really should have brought in someone from the outside to coach for one year. Parcells would have been the obvious first choice, when he declined the Saints should have gone after another retired coach for a one year gig. I am sure someone like Dick Vermeil, Dennis Green, or maybe even Jim Mora would have at least listened to an offer.
I think the guy who really got shafted was Aaron Kromer. If the Saints were not going to pursuit an outside option, at least put a guy in there who will go start to finish. Naming Joe Vitt was an excellent choice, except he wasn't going to be available for the first 6 games. That should have eliminated him right away. Oh well, maybe in the end this coaching arrangement will work itself out, but right now not looking good. |

Re: Parcells
Work the o line this week heavy, especially Strief. He is single handily effecting Drew's passing. Too many hits too many people at Drew's feet.

Re: Parcells
Adjust the game plan, put a TE over there to help out if necessary. There is nothing wrong with going with a double TE, single RB set if needed.

Re: Parcells
I think they knew Kromer was who they were stuck with. They hoped he win a few just on talent and sort of just cruise control until Vitt who is more like Payton as a disciplinarian. The good thing is that Vitt can talk to Payton now as he is not affiliated with the team now. Hopefully he is living with Sp so he is ready and brings in a couple of notebooks with info from Sp.

Re: Parcells
Yeah that's why we signed the Te from New England because he is great blocker, put him in there ASAP.
