Martez Wilson is clearly being held back from making what would be a more-or-less routine run stop. Curtis Lofton (#50) also has someone holding his shoulder pad, you can see him leaning backwards because of it. His hips are going one direction, his shoulders another. Patrice Robinson missed the tackle (I think that is who is off Charles' left shoulder) and then got outrun. Roman Harper almost caught up to Charles, but the dude is FAST. Other than those people, based on the picture, I'll ask you to educate me; exactly who are you referring to when you say, "In position to make the tackle and didn't?" |

Re: The 91 yard run
Holding was the issue there, but it's easy to believe the LB's were out of position since they always seem to be this year.

I agree with Joker, you guys are just blind or just don't want to face the facts.
Lofton and Robinson should have been there to assist in tackling JC and Roman Harper was just late at getting over to help out. |

Re: The 91 yard run
Listen, I see what you are saying, but that is a blatant hold. That has to be called. It's true when people say "There are holds on every play", but this is so obvious and out in the open. It is practically a tackle! This doesn't excuse the poor performance of the offense in the 2nd half by no means, but this loss did have a lot to do with the refs.
3 Major calls that were awful: The PT touchdown, there was no where near enough evidence to overturn the call. Hartley then misses a field goal. So the Saints are left with no points from it. The hold being discussed, that brought the Chiefs back to life. The defense was actually pretty impressive until this play happened. This makes a 14 point swing if you include the awful PT call. And for the Chiefs, the fumble ruled after Mccluster went down was another call that even as a homer I cannot agree with. |
