Re: Can A Win At GreenBay Spark A Rise ?
Ya'll are freaking out, pitting the LAST YEAR'S Green Bay Packers against THIS YEAR's Saints, and that would be an obscene blowout, like 51-18 or something. But THIS YEAR the Packers are having troubles, problems of their own, even their own fans will tell you that. Their articles in their local media are like, "what's wrong with the Packers?" just like here. They have a better record than us of course but it ain't like they are this huge unstoppable rolling juggernaut of points.
They're having trouble with their deep ball (just like us), they are giving up sacks (just like us), they are stalling out just before they get into the red zone (with us it's 3 and outs that are killing us, but same effect). They are feeling like other teams have "figured out" how to beat them, and are mystified by why stuff isn't working as well, just like us. Remember how our crappy so-called "Defense" (and I use the term loosely) DID manage to hold the Chiefs to field goals, a lot of times? I'm not going to predict a win here, it will take a really good game from the Saints, but it's actually a lot more do-able than some of you people might think. |

Who took Arizona to go 3-0?
Who picked the Vikings to upset the niners? And now, who'll pick the Saints to go up to lambeau and pull one out? Nobody, that's who. And that's why it's perfect... |

After last nights tweets, there could be a lot of Packers suspended for this game.

Re: Can A Win At GreenBay Spark A Rise ?
OK, let me try and help you out here - I'm a Packer fan, and I've seen all three of our games.
Point 1 - good news for you lot - our offence is NOTHING like last year's. Four offensive TDs this season, in 3 games. (Not counting a fake 45-yard field goal TD on 4th and 26 against Chicago, which has to be the sweetest trick play I have ever seen.) OK, we've played San Francisco, Chicago and Seattle, all of whom have better-than-average defences, but last year we could shred anyone. There were encouraging signs in the second half of the Seahawks game, though, and with Cedric Benson we do have a viable run game. Point 2 - now the bad news. The defence is also NOTHING like last year. We have a pass rush. We still have secondary communication issues, but there's less time for them to matter because of the pass rush. The San Fran game was a bad one, I'll grant you, but neither Chicago nor Seattle got anything going significantly. But I presume (I haven't seen any of your games yet) that your offence is still better than either of theirs. I know your QB is. Good luck. (But not too good.) |
