New Orleans Saints interim coach Aaron Kromer doesn't appear ready to make any changes at running back saying Thursday that the trio of Pierre Thomas, Darren Sproles and Mark Ingram give the running game the best chance to succeed.

The decision still leaves no room for Chris Ivory, the Saints' leading rusher in 2010, as he's been inactive every game this season and it seems like that trend will continue for Sunday's game in Green Bay. Ivory didn't hide his frustration Thursday.

"Honestly, yeah it's frustrating," Ivory said. "But that's not going to change nothing. Yeah, the situation sucks, but right now I'm still trying to be patient."

I'd like to have seen Ivory given a shot. In gram has not been finding any holes might have been worth seeing if Ivory could.Them preseason fumbles may be costing him.

I was so excited when we drafted Ingram, I thought he was someone that had the same big play ability of Adrian Peterson just a bigger between the tackles runner
I don't understand why it hasn't translated to the nfl, PT and sproles can get 9 yards up the gut consistently, why does Ingram only get 2 yards?

Great question; the first answer that pops to my head is that he always seems to run right into the backs of his O line. He's done that a few times, and in the first game he had a nice little cut back/direction change around the side of the line for a sweet little gain, but since then its like he's either getting tackled in the back field or he's trying to force his way into a gap that isn't there and either way getting about 2-3 yards

His vision isn't there yet. Right now Ingram is just a plodder and Ivory is actually better than him in that category. However, Ingram brings a little more to the table as far as talent and capability.

The problem with Ingram is that it looks like he's the type of back that needs consistent carries to get in rhythm and develop. While he may or may not become a very good back, I don't think we'll ever get the chance to find out in the type of system we run barring injuries. I'm not comparing his talents to Deuce McAllister but... remember how he use to just grind out ten 3-4 yard runs and then just break one for 30-40 yards? Ingram is a 20+ carry back... just not here, not now.

Ingram is not doing anything that proves he should get those 6-10 carries a game..his vision is sub-par if that and hes not explosive....Chris Ivory can catch out the backfield..his first breakout play was 75 yard td RECEPTION...they just choose to use him as a one dimensional back because we have so many scat backs...Its not going to take long for Chris to play anyway Mark's not going to last the whole season

Well, guess I'm not watching this Sun. If the Saints don't want to try to win then there's no need for me to watch another loss. I'll keep an ear tuned in but not gonna invest a lot of time on it.

I believe Cadet has dressed every game so far, but he remains on the bench. What with our offensive juggernaut in the second half last week (:lol:) we must not have needed him
