Will Deuce Do It?

If the reports of the Saints spreading the field more are true, then we could see only the third back in history of NFL to get 1000 rushing 1000 receiving. Only 3 backs have had both over 900. Deuce has the ability but may not see as many balls in the passing game this year if other options are effective enough to utilize. The link below is more of a slam on the Bucs for giving a 32 yr. old Charlie Garner a fat contract but it also offers proof of the above and a very interesting insight into the history of the running back position and how fast production at that position falls after the age of 30.

It\'s possible, but only if he was playing for a team who did\'nt have any good recievers at all. I think he can do 1200 on the ground every season and at least 400 to 500 receiving, but a 1000 each is asking alot and you don\'t want the Deuce taking that much punishment.
