Funny But Serious Question ...
Do you ever watch us play ( especially on defense ) and ask yourself , HOW ARE THEY GETTING PAID MILLIONS OF DOLLARS TO BE THIS BAD ? Like it's not college ball to where they have to balance an entire separate obligation , no JUST MILLIONS OF DOLLARS that ordinary people work their entire existences for ... And they can't figure out how to fill a hole or not get outflanked on defense ...
If the ordinary people see it , why don't they ? |

Re: Funny But Serious Question ...
Its a good point but that theory can be applied in a lot of sports!
How can a pro golfer who is sponsored for millions of dollars go and miss a 2ft putt? How can F1 driver who earns more money than most of us will ever see in a lifetime go skidding off of a race track for no apparent reason other than a slight lack of concentration and destroy a 3 million dollar race car as it rockets into a tyre wall? How can a soccer player who earns millions of dollars a year send a penalty kick 10 feet above the cross bar? And so the list goes on!!!! The Saints are going through a bad patch at the moment and its not nice to watch! As I have said before on this forum, they are missing SP on the sidelines more than I think they imagined they would! You just know he would be reading the riot act to the players who are not doing their job properly! He would also be making those little adjustments that only Sean can make and get the team playing as they should be! It was always going to be really tough without him sending in the plays etc! Lets hope they can turn things around today and get a much needed win to give the Saints fans something to cheer about! GEAUX SAINTS!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Re: Funny But Serious Question ...
It's the human element to it all.
Anybody who has played any golf and had to stare down that two foot putt for-the-win knows that it suddenly becomes a lot harder to do when the pressure is on and the game is on the line. Hell, even Tiger Woods has missed some doozies in his day. (Although he didn't miss TOO many holes, amirite?) Its BS that they still make errors as professionals, even getting paid that much money to do it, but that's human nature, and that's why its so remarkable when someone can be so consistent in the face of all that pressure (and $$). Many times those folks are the ones that go down in history as the all-time greats, cause they could perform any time, any place. And I think knowing that there's always the chance someone could miss or underperform is another reason we keep watching the games. And why we still root for the Saints, even when they have to play Rodgers and the Packers at Lambeau. |

Re: Funny But Serious Question ...
Every team has ups and downs and some seasons just don't go our way.
As far as getting paid, this is basically the same group af guys that got paid to win a Superbowl for us in 2009, and we have been the winningest team in the NFL for 3 or 4 years now. Its obvious to me what the reasons are. We're missing one of the best head coaches in the entire NFL, and we have a new defense that the players haven't quite mastered. |
