There was improvement from what I have seen of the earlier games, but something is missing...

Not speaking about SP, but something... I just can't put my finger on it... or is there that shouldn't be and isn't in check.

Can't hang it on Brees' play...
But there's room to hang part of it on his PAY.

Hartley's leg is back to form,
Unfortunately, missing at the bell has become his norm.

Ingram was good for 2.2 per run,
But 2.2 is just NO FUN.

The screen to P.T. has had its day,
And the P.T. screen is a predictable play.

Overall the offense played really well,
The defense... well, this kind of gel jus' don't sell.

The advantage of your situation is...

1) You get all your guys back next year.
2) You get a high draft pick in the 1st round.
3) You get a high draft pick in the 2nd round.

And you still have Brees. So pick defense with those 2 and add 1 high end FA on defense and you have 3 additional players making you better. The Saints can be good again and pretty quickly. But it's next year. Not this year.

Goodell took our second round pick off us, we might have to do what the rams do and trade our number 1 or 2 pick in the draft for a couple picks
