The Advantage of our situation ...
1st and Foremost let me say YES ... This loss hurts ... But we are very alive , Let me explain the situation ...
Although we are 0-4 , we have only lost one division game to Carolina who themselves have just lost 2 Games in the NFC South. Remember Seattle from a few years back had a 7-9 Team in the Playoffs ? The Conference losses don't supersede a winning Division total. We have only played 1/6 Division Games its better we get our mistakes taken care of against teams that don't critically affect our playoff chances. which rolls over to my Second Point. 2nd : We aren't playing a better team than the Packers this year PERIOD ... I don't care how hot Atlanta is they are chokers and we all know it. The Packers are 3rd Defensively and Aaron Rodgers is Drew Brees with Wheels. I refuse to believe anyone in our own Division can Be Better than that. 3rd : We're getting Good ... Drew Brees found his zone today against the 3rd ranked defense in the NFL . And In the last 2 Games After our Halftime Adjustments were made we have only given up 2 Touchdowns. Although we have no pass rush , our defense is coming around. We are starting to Gel. 4th : We are starting to let the punches Fly ... Being 0-4 comes with an attitude , either hopelessness or a Balls out kind of mentality comes into play. No sense in holding punches back... In fact The Past 2 Superbowl Champs were playing balls out the last weeks of the Season just to get into the playoffs. It's a good thing. 5th : Teams are going to start sleeping on us. Which is great ! 0-4 And nobody takes us seriously , it gives us a chance to hit people in the throat and them not be prepared for it. |

Re: The Advantage of our situation ...
I think they're all great points. I honestly felt today this team looked more like "The Saints" we know more than any other game this season.
Before entertaining anything we have to get our first win. Hard for most to feel optimistic until then. But, you're very correct. |

We're done. The only thing we can look forward to is a high draft pick in next years draft. Sorry

I don't think we're done. Not yet. Hell we've only played one divisional game so far. This was the best we've looked thus far. 12 more games to go, plus the playoffs. Anything can happen.

I see improvement in the team. I felt they were competitive as their usual self today.
The past 3 games were horrible. Today was tolerable to watch but hurt because the team needs a complete game and a win in a serious way. We don't want to fall so far behind the 8 ball that the team needs to be "dismantled" and rebuilt. |

Glad we played better today. 0-4 isn't fun but oh well it is just a game and we're not going to be lights out every year. Playoffs are not out of reach but there is a ton of work to be done. And on the bright side, we are lucky to not have gotten blown out or shut out or truly humiliated ... like the Jets today at home!

Re: The Advantage of our situation ...
We can get into the playoffs 10-6 with a small chance and a little luck. If we are a 10-6 team then that means we are playing 10-2 football which means you are on fire. Let a team like that get into the playoffs and they may be unstoppable. We had stupid things happen to us. The drops will end, the defense may not get much better but the offense looked like us for a while today. Take back spores drop and we may win that game.

Re: The Advantage of our situation ...
I have to agree that our playoff chances are dismal. But we need to play with pride and win our remaining divisional games and see how it plays out. If nothing else I want to crap on Atlanta something fierce. To me, that is our bowl games.
