My points
Now that we are 0-4 and will have an incredibly hard time making the post season, here's my take on the team so far.
A) Our playcalling is completely ridiculous. Run, pass, pass. Run, pass, pass. Run, pass, pass. Run, pass, pass. Seriously, can't we get something a bit more creative than that. Our running game sucks, because they know when we are going to run. There's no mixing up, nothing unusual... quite frankly I think half of the forum could do better play calling than we are currently doing. B)We have a good secondary, actually I'd say we have one of the best secondaries in the league. People are going to disagree with this point, just stating what I saw. The only reason that we have such a hard time stopping opponents is the next point. C) Our defensive line is terrible, we have no pass rush. Our pass rush rivals some of the worst in the history of football. We need to try out new guys on the line, maybe give the younger guys more playing time... something has to be changed here if there's any chance of us making the playoffs. TBH, I think our defense line..is the only thing that's holding this team back, which is saying a lot as to how bad it is since we are 0-4. D) Why do we keep dropping so many passes? I really don't get it. It's like our receivers think that the football is going to give them an std. We'd still won the game even with our poor defensive showing, and our uncreative playing calling, if we would have made a few catches that we normally would make. |

Re: My points
1. Too many dropped passes, either lack of focus or lack of preparation.
2. If Drew doesn't start either sliding or moving better in the pocket it's only a matter of time before he's decapitated. 3. I thought our defense, although still nauseating, looked competitive today. We'll see if it's just Green Bay being crapsville or maybe we are improving. I'm hoping for the latter. |

Re: My points
I have a hard time disagreeing with you. Will Smith still has a little left but he's a respectable 2 way end at best. Ellis is shat. Shanle, Harper, Jenkins and Robinson just can't figure it out anymore in the new scheme. We need a pass rush sooooooo bad.

Re: My points
Look at it this way
Week 1 - 40 points allowed Week 2 - 35 points allowed Week 3 -27 points allowed Week 4 - 28 points allowed to green bays offense I know it doesn't look great, but most people are picking Green Bay as their Super Bowl favourite and to say we stopped their offense really well in the second half shows that we may be improving Packers have a great passing offense and in the second half total, they scored 7 points......7 points in 30 mins football, whilst we scored 14 The loss is tough to take and I've been gutted since i watched it but their are a couple of positives; We have new defensive play call - 5 man under, eye poking safety blitz and it works!! Lmao We got a pick against Rodgers - we didn't do that last season Our offense is getting back on track, apart from the stupid drops which I'm sure if you were in chat you heard me cursing sproles for We need just abit of pressure but if we can't do it against the packers O line we have no hope of getting to the QB next up chargers, see what we can do Unitas record going down at least |

Re: My points
I was really really happy to see J Morgan have a TD! I hope he keeps it up and feeds off that momentum. Now he knows Drew is gonna look his way more and more!

Re: My points
Yeah if he can take the top off the defence it will open things up underneath for Colston and Moore and teams also won't be able to load the box.

Re: My points
Now we know why G. Williams was always trying to mix it up and confuse the offense. He was trying to cover up some very average at best talent. The current bend don't break style of defense is just horrible and doesn't fit the personnel. No pressure on the QB. DB's never bumping anyone at the line and always giving way too much cushion.
