Looking at the positives

After venting my anger last night, I'm back to looking at the positives that came out the game

1. We won the turnover battle, our DB's didn't hold up in coverage well but robinsons pick was huge and gave us great momentum

2. Joe Morgan arrived at the show, yeah it was one catch but it was a massive play when we needed it and did you see his strength Aswell as his speed? Out ran the secondary and then trucked the DB into the endzone with him, hope to see more of this out of him

3. Colston looks like the guy we remember, he's obviously still injured and wasn't running well, but 9 catches for 153 yards is how we remember him

4. Drew was pretty much mistake free, no turnovers

5. We are getting better on D every week, the pass rush is lacking big time but look at how many points we have allowed from week 1 til now, they are decreasing

6. In 2 weeks we have forced 4 turnovers, 2 picks and 2 fumbles

It's only a matter of time before the stars Align and we come out and demolish someone, the packers are a great team and we stayed step for step with them and were on the verge of a big win

We are obviously improving, packers were expected to trounce us, we made them worry

We will win very soon, everyone can see we are gradually getting better

Everyone's thoughts please?

Re: Looking at the positives

I agree with the above and will add a little.

7. Protection was oustanding yesterday. Only one sack allowed and that by the arguably best passrusher in the NFL. IMHO this is what enabled 2, 3 & 4.

8. Lofton is a tackling machine with a combined 44 tackles in 4 games.

Re: Looking at the positives

The only positive that can EVER be gained from losing is that you move up in the draft and we definitely seem to have that under control. Yeah, yeah, yeah, "bandwagon fan" ... "hater" ... whatever. I may go back to wearing a bag but at least I'll actually be at the game this weekend. If you want to insult me, show up at the SuperDome to do it.

Re: Looking at the positives

The team looked better. The D-line wasn't man-handled as badly as the 1st 3 games.

Another positive is that its become obvious that a few areas need serious upgrades in young talent. LT, RT, OC, RDE, WLB, SLB, RDT.

I'm sure we're making a list already of potential 2013 free-agents and College prospects.

I was hoping that Strief and Bushrod would get the job done but I would not mind seeing us draft a Joe Thomas/Jake Long typ of LT.

I believe that even the negatives had less impact. How's that?
