Who Dat Nation unite, or...

Okay, my second sleepless Sunday night laying there knowing that in spite of a defense that seems to be showing up in a different town than the one we are playing in, we are still just a play call or two away from a win has me thinking it's time to make my voice heard in the only way that's understood. Vilma was a bug on a windshield until he started litigation so why not us? Isn't there a lawyer out there in GoldandBlack.comland who is also pissed enough to take up my case? Aren't there a million Who Dats out there willing to join in? At a $1,000 per person for lost production, pain and suffering, etc., that's already a billion dollar class action suit. If I have to endure this season without a head coach due entirely to the whim of one man, can I at least know why? If nothing else, a class action suit and a sympathetic judge would open up the proof telling me why an entire season's suspension is justified. Why, the hopes and dreams of the entire Who Dat Nation are dashed even though everything we actually can see (i.e. the number of opposing players who weren't carted off the field during that time) says there really wasn't any kind of system in place. And at the most, give us our coach back and he whose name I will not mention sent packing. I'm a working guy just trying to make ends meet, so all I could really do is buy you a beer, but please, any lawyer reading this, please, think about it...

No case.... Unless you want to sue the Saints for causing the same symptoms from birth to the 2008 season.

What sucks about the legal case is that, if a company advertises they're selling Iphones and you buy an Iphone from them on the internet, and they ship it to you, and it's actually a cheapo crap Samsung phone from the 1980s....you have a case. If you buy an Iphone, and it arrives broken, you can send it back and get a refund, you have a legal standing. BUT if the Saints sell you season tickets to see Sean Payton coaching a playoff team that went 13-3 last year, and then the NFL takes that away from you, well...legally they still fielded a team, so you're stuck buying tickets to see Aaron Kromer show. No case.

It's really not about a case and no one would really go into it for any chance of getting any money. You just put a gigantic dollar amount in there to get everyone's attention. It's really just about a good lawyer, a sympathetic judge and the court of public opinion. With enough of this, we could still see the kommisar backpedal and get Payton back on the sidelines before the end of the season. You don't need to win a lawsuit to win the lawsuit.

Re: Who Dat Nation unite, or...

exactly.... we didnt do nothin.
we bought tickets, park, buy beer, buy stuff, buy more stuff, and some of us
travel, get hotels, shop at stores, .. some of you get the satellite tv packages and all that crap....but all the money ends up supporting the NFL in some way.

we didnt do nothing but support our team and support the NFL. And then the
NFL, turned around and disqualified our team from competing, without the
slightest consideration for us. the Fans. we dont get this year back. we dont get our money back.

I'm in, find us an attorney. Maybe Morris Bart will take it and he can stop chasing ambulances for a while.
