I have a choice for either home preseason game, 35 yard line, plaza, Saints side. My question is which one should I go to? Which one will I get more of a "real" game experience, i.e. more time with the first team on the field??

Also, I'd just like to comment a lot of people saying that Carolina had a lot of luck last year. Yall don't think that if we get deep in the playoffs that Carolina and the media will be saying the same stuff about the Saints. Give the Panthers some credit, they played very well (they didn't have any 5000 penalty games :casstet: ) and won some very close games.

The 3rd preseason game is always the best one to see. That\'s the game that is the warm-up to the regular season. It\'s the game in which the starters play the most. In the first 2 games the rooks will get most of the playing time and in the fourth game, the starters hardly see the field because they don\'t want the starters getting injured right before the regular season.

You want to talk about the Panthers? Let\'s sit back and watch \'em this year and we\'ll see if its luck or if they are that good. I say they were the luckiest team I have ever seen. They\'ve got a very talented defense. Jake will be their downfall.

I agree with you Gumbo, da Bear\'s!

Also, here is a little trivia for the Panther\'s and Patriot\'s to consider:

1. Only 2 teams have lost the Superbowl and comeback to win the following year, Cowboy\'s in 72 and Dolphin\'s in 73. The Panther\'s are\'nt even in the same league. The percentage is 5%.

2. There have been 3 teams that have lost and gone back to lose again, The Bill\'s did it 4 times, the Viking\'s 2 and the Bronco\'s 2.

3. There have been 8 repeat Superbowl Champ\'s, the percentage is 21%.

4. Since 1933 there have been 15 repeat Conference Champ\'s in the NFC, the percentage is 21%.

5. Since 1960 there have been 10 repeat Conference Champ\'s in the AFC, the percentage is 22%.

So, odds are neither will make it back to the Superbowl or even the Conference Championship. I could have broken down percentages after a Superbowl win or loss, but you already get the picture.

The Panther\'s won\'t make the playoffs for sure, I don\'t think the Patriot\'s will either, but I\'m not real sure about that prediction.

I got this info from Superbowl.com.

Interesting stuff.

I don\'t know where WhoDat has been, but I\'m sure if he reads this that he\'ll be sure to straighten you out.

He would point out how much the league has changed since free-agency and how it\'s scewing the percentages. And he would be right. It\'s even harder to do in todays game.

I agree Gumbo. The percentages are even lower for the period after free agency began.

I\'m sorry I didn\'t mean for my post to sound like \"The Panthers are going to the Superbowl for the next 15 seasons\" I just meant that they ammassed a lot of W\'s and we shouldn\'t knock them for that, since we all know it will take an NFC Championship to get our image adjusted from \"The Aints.\"

Flanders I did\'nt take it that way. I was just trying to point out how hard it is to repeat anything in the NFL and that it\'s always a different team, so would\'nt it make sense that it\'s the Saints year.

flanders--

And pay no attention to me when talking about the Panthers. I hate the Panthers. They are my new \"most\" hated team. And that funny little talking QB they have, I hate him too. I don\'t like Jake\'s race horses either.

I can\'t wait to play them this year. I\'m sure the Saints players have a little something for \'em this year.
