If the Saints turn this around
.. What will the narrative be regarding the first four games of the season? I'm sure there will be some revisionist history but I think the one thing everyone will say is that we were in it till the last play of each game. That's got to go for something.

Re: If the Saints turn this around
I think it will read like..."After the release of Patrick Robinson the Saints defense made a remarkable turnarou........."

You can't expect any CBs to cover NFL caliber WRs forever, and that's how long our D-line is giving the opposing QBs to throw. Aaron freaking Rodgers didn't even complete a single pass over twenty yards so give the guy some credit |
Re: If the Saints turn this around
I like Robinson. I think he's got what it takes, and doesn't have an ounce of quit in him.

Re: If the Saints turn this around
I don't care if you had Willie Brown and Nnamdi Asomugha in their primes at the corners, our defensive woes start with the poor play up front!
And as far as Patrick Robinson, he's done more than the other first round picks of the Saints in recent history... |

I hope someone says it looked like the only way they were going to turn things around is to put their record in a mirror. Show the mirrors in the locker...highlights.

Re: If the Saints turn this around
If the Saints turn this around I won't be able to scalp any tickets.

Re: If the Saints turn this around
The saints will turn this around just enough to not make the playoffs and ruin a good draft pick and Goodell will live happily ever after.

Re: If the Saints turn this around
Our line gets pressure our Cbs are pro bowlers mark my words.

Yes, the DLine is horrible at getting any push and CBs can't cover forever but when every QB knows to throw your way for a sure 5-7 yds you are failing as a CB. And I give him all the credit for the pick on Rodgers but I can't seem to forget the utter miss the week before in the KC game. I can only hope that he pans out the way you guys believe he will but so far, history is not on your side. |

This. I wish I could understand why some still continue to defend Robinson. The man is terrible. However, he isn't the only terrible player. Everyone on this defense is bad as you said. The only guy that I have seen that is playing good is Curtis Lofton, but he can't do it all. We need some serious help on D. |
Re: If the Saints turn this around
Maybe we need to blitz more, not Gregg Williams style but much more than we do, but I will say this Washington and Carolina would not have beat us With Williams style. This is a long process with Spags so I want be counting on any miricles this season with this D but by the end of the season he will have enough players ready to do their job next season. We need the best nose tackle there is in the draft , and a safety, Jenkins is a bust. Ellis is history and his replacement is in the draft, I hope the same for our 1st rounder Jenkins although he could make a damn fine SS.

Re: If the Saints turn this around
If the regular refs would have been in we would be 3-1 right now. And not because of bad calls.

Re: If the Saints turn this around
The papers will read: The New Orleans Saints Make History with Stunning Turn Around.
|
Re: If the Saints turn this around
I think we can still do something too.I know history is not on our side but we are the SAINTS.The defense will get better every week. One thing is foe sho, they cant get any worse.
