Lance Moore out for Sunday
 

Well, now we know why the Saints looked at a quintet of free-agent receivers on Tuesday.

Lance Moore, who is tied with Marques Colston with 19 receptions for the most among wide receivers, hasn’t practiced this week due to a hamstring injury, according to the New Orleans Times-Picayune. As a result, he may miss Sunday night’s game against the Chargers.

“It’s a case where guys are going to have to step up and do it,” interim-interim coach Aaron Kromer said. “We have to adjust what we’re doing and fill guys in when we can. It’s hard to replace Lance Moore.”

Without Moore, the Saints have only four healthy receivers: Colston, Devery Henderson, Courtney Roby, and Joseph Morgan.

Plaxico Burress is flabbergasted.

I guess he won't drop 2 or 3 balls Sunday night now.

Anyone else amazed that the guy with some of the best hands in the entire NFL has dropped so many balls thru 4 games?

I've mentioned this more than once this year. It's baffling, and I can only imagine these are the "little things" that Coach Payton would have a positive effect on. One of those sideline glaring looks would probably eliminate the dropsies pretty quick!!

Colston, Graham, Sproles and DThomas dropping passes, Harper missing tackles...
It's all just jacked up.
We shouldn't have to look too far.
Stretch the field with Morgan and call up Andy Tanner from the PSquad if needed.
We are just looking snake bit, and until that changes, it doesn't mattter who suits up.
I think Payton would be getting more out of these guys.
Perhaps his aura will be enough Sunday night.

Its the freakin gloves. I watched Fitzgerald get hit square in the hands last night and it when through. Sproles has pretty sure hands also..

Maybe Cadet will see some action since he's been practicing at WR. Ivory might be active too if Moore can't go.

Lance Moore (hamstring) will not play in Sunday's game against the Chargers.

Moore missed every practice this week. It's a concern after a hamstring injury kept him out of the Saints' final three contests of last season, including a playoff game. Deep threat Devery Henderson will see some extra snaps, but Drew Brees figures to spread the extra underneath targets between Marques Colston, Darren Sproles and Jimmy Graham.

You know what, I am kinda willing to go along with you on this theory. It IS something that is concretely different this year over previous years, as opposed to just the nebulous "we don't have Sean Payton to glare at people." Which may also be part of it as well, those glares of Payton will melt plastic and pop the glass on the scoreboard Bud Light signs at 40+ yards away, if Payton looks up at the clock after a bad play.

Im amazed all of our receivers have. Especially Moore. He and Morgan will make it no easier for Brees to break the record.
