Maybe its not the RB thats the problem.

3 games... convenient. :p

One game can skew stats. Whats wrong with a 3 game window?

Or do you need to throw in the only game we ran well in this entire season, in which all of PT's 2nd half carries came when we were 3 scores behind.

Convenient indeed. Stats are easily manipulated when taken out of context aren't they? ;)

Why limit to 3 when there is a grand total of 5? Certainly 2 more data points wouldn't discredit the statement?

They are when people are not logic oriented.. First thing that came to mind when I read your post was... We are in week 5.. certainly there is a logical reason why weeks 1 and 2 would be excluded from the data set. After all this is Danno.:clown:

Sort of like choosing to address 1 line out of 50 in a post.

No, its illogical to not throw out the outliers, especially if they're racked up during garbage time.

If a RB has 25 carries, 24 for 1 yard and 1 for 99 during garbage time, do you really think he's a 4 yard per carry RB? Or are his stats skewed by that one run?

I'm pretty sure the consensus is our O-line (or playcalling) has more to do with our failures at rushing than which RB we use.

I really don't care about the stats, if one of the RBs gets into a groove...

Hand them the rock, pull them off for a breather and see if the next one feeds off the first one.

This running of/off the field causes them to wonder "Am I supposed to stay on the field?" instead of just turning around and heading back to the huddle or formation.

Let the receivers run on/off the field and let the RB get into a grove... less predictable anyway

You can change backs a couple of times a series not every down...

I agree....make Sproles Royce the scatback (Reggie's Role) and make Ivory the bruising 3rd down/fight for yards back(Mike Bell's Role) and we are money for a solid run game.....And trade Ingram for a safety

The o-line has been sucking. Too much pressure on Brees by the front 4 which causes him to throw int's and to get sacked. Also, it appears the defenses are keying on sproles when he is in the game like they did bush's 2nd year. sproles and PT in the backfield may keep them more honest. I still think MI is trash. Reminds me of Vaughn Dunbar.Alot of hype for all that wipe!
