Now, where I think it gets kinda interesting is Joe Vitt
I don't think Vitt is communicating with the team right now, either. Same reasons as Payton. I don't even think it's very important. BUT, I would be willing to bet MONEY, that Joe Vitt is already out there watching film of all the teams remaining on the Saints schedule, that he has to coach against, and watching this year's Saints over and over on his DVR, and taking a heckuva lot of notes. Because think about it for a sec. Imagine if this was school, and you had a final exam, or a series of exams. And one kid had all semester long to do NOTHING but study for the exam, while everybody else in the class had just a week or two to cram all their preparations in. Or imagine a presidential debate where one guy had six weeks to do NOTHING but prep for it, and the other guy had only a week or two to get ready. See what I mean? Who has the coaching advantage there? Who in the debate is gonna be more prepared for the other guy? Even right now, while suspended, Vitt can still get ALL the "coaches' film" -- not the TV broadcast, but the 22's, showing all the players on the field at any given time, plus end zone views, closeups of the line action, and other cool stuff. Anybody can buy it through a package from the NFL called “Game Rewind.” NFL selling 'Game Rewind' access to 'All-22' coaches film - CBSSports.com So I'd almost bet the farm that Joe Vitt is probably sitting there on his couch, perhaps right now this very minute, watching every single snap of football from all of our upcoming opponents. Over and over and over, he can study those teams. He can kick back and study the Falcons’ offense, for example, from top to bottom, inside out, and pick it apart, the way a defensive coach would normally NEVER have enough time and space for, during a normal season. So that’s why I’m hopeful that having Joe Vitt come back will be an advantage for the Saints, and why I think it’s actually gonna surprise some people when he does get back, and turn some heads. I have a feeling we are gonna punch some people in the mouth, when it comes to coaching and game planning and preparation. |

Re: New Member, Loomis/Vitt communication w Payton
I seriously doubt that any of our suspended coaches or Loomis would take that chance.
However, Loomis and Vitt shared a box so there was obviously some communication. |
