Re: Saints vs Bucks Gameday thread Week 7
A WIN is a WIN is a WIN. I take them any way they come, ecpecially when it brings us out from the cellar. Brees had a great day, the INT not his fault. I'd say this was his best game of the year, getting the record probably lets him focus on only winning. Harpers INT was a INT, refs screwed that one up but otherwise had a good game. Defence came out of this one awefully bent but didn't totally break. Jenkins had a terrific hustle play. Pressure was so so, guys were close but...
We still can't run the ball. |
W.T. Sherman is my favorite General. After all he did order Atlanta to be burned to the ground.

Re: Saints vs Bucks Gameday thread Week 7
Agree Mitch. After the 1st I thought for sure we were finished running but low and behold they stuck with it which was quite a surprise and I think it messed with the Bucs. We setup some nice play action that kept us in the game. I really liked that flee flicker the Bucs rans though. I hope we get the gonads to run that play, I think it would work great against the Broncos.

Re: Saints vs Bucks Gameday thread Week 7
I thought we played an awesome game. After the 1st quarter Kromer took Will Smith out of the game for Junior and it wasn't a bad idea at all seeing as how Junior got a sack and a few tackles behind the line of scrimmage. Vilma was all over the field making great plays with QB pressures, a tipped pass and tackles for a loss. Yall need to chill... I saw the lightbulb go on for our defense today and with Vitt back now it's only going to get better.

Re: Saints vs Bucks Gameday thread Week 7
Here is the difference. If I only wanted a win, I would approach this just like fantasy football.. Check the scores and wait till it ends.
I watch the games because I like to watch the Saints play... A loss with great play doesn't bother me as much as a win with bad play. A win has nothing to do with what happens next week and the rest of the season. Ugly play has everything to do with next week and the rest of the season.. Consistent ugly play tells a story. |

Re: Saints vs Bucks Gameday thread Week 7
Have any children?
Id rather watch my child play well and lose than win with crappy play. Sound play will eventually turn into wins. Ugliness will eventually leaving you saying "we cant win them all" or 'we just couldn't pull this one off". I want to win by beating them with sound football, not "pull it off", with a couple of good luck plays. Hope that helps. |
