Don't forget about Lance

Lance Moore had a huge day for us. It seemed as though every time we needed a crucial 3rd down conversion, Lance was making the catch. He was so clutch in this game, but with all the other story lines, hes kinda getting lost in the shuffle. 9 receptions for 121 yards, a 13.4 avg., and a long of 35. Lance played a fantastic game and was Drew's go to guy the whole game.

Re: Don't forget about Lance

Oh, I surely haven't forgotten about him. I had him starting in my fantasy league. I traded Desean Jackson straight up to get him. I had a feeling that with Meachem gone, Moore was going to see more opportunities. So far, it has been a decent move. There isn't much difference in their overall stats.

Aside from fantasy football, though, Moore came up huge when we needed someone to step up. It disappointed me that he didn't get a TD grab after having such a solid game, but you can argue that he helped set up every single TD the Saints had with some catches that moved the chains.

People shouldn't be afraid of their government. Governments should be afraid of their people.

Re: Don't forget about Lance

Lance Moore is perfect for what we use him for

A possession receiver that continuously finds holes in zone coverage, brees and moore are on the same page all the time

If Brees see's a hole in zone coverage on 3rd and 9, moore is going to settle there and make the catch for the 1st

People underestimate him though, he can run by players aswell

Don't forget devery either, he made two deep catches for 35 and 40 yards, igniting a solid drive on both catches

Re: Don't forget about Lance

Other than the running game being very limited once again, I was pleased with how EVERYONE played on offense. The one thing I didn't like (and by didn't like, I mean I hated it) was how the play calling completely changed in the second half. It was pathetically conservative and almost cost us the game. Why on earth, when you have all the momentum going into the second half, would you take your foot all the way off the gas pedal?

That kind of thing is where I can clearly see the contrast in coaching styles, with Payton's absence. There have been times in the past where I thought Sean was TOO aggressive when all we needed was a yard, but he would never sit on a lead. It's that spirit of playing aggressive to the end that has driven his success. We looked a lot like the Saints of last year, in the first half sunday, but then backed off with the game still very much on the line, inexplicably.

In short, the players look like they're coming around, but the coaches need to let them play for 60 minutes.

If I had a nickel for every time I heard that, the NFL would fine and suspend me.
