Saints - Buccaneers: What happened to the Bucs' pass rush?
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have talent and quality along the defensive line, and the players to wreak havoc on opposing offensive lines. Yet against the Saints, Brees was barely touched. What happened?

Because our O-line is built to pass protect, hence the horrid run blocking.

Because all brees needs on average is 2 seconds to release the ball, an extra few seconds should be expected by even a mediocre line

Obviously that game was much closer to a loss than it should have been, and mucho problems still abound....but I think we saw a "win one for the Gipper" type rally there, since it was Kromer's last game as interim to the interim assistant head coach...basically while still bad in a lot of places, every facet of the team that has been criticized or a weakness, every weak link, was a tiny little bit better this week. Even Hartley drilled that 51 yarder that wound up not counting, LOL. Straight up the middle and with room to spare, LOL.
