Because our O-line is built to pass protect, hence the horrid run blocking.

Which is a pretty good thing considering what we pay Brees. Run blocking needs to improve thou of course.

Because all brees needs on average is 2 seconds to release the ball, an extra few seconds should be expected by even a mediocre line

Re: Saints - Buccaneers: What happened to the Bucs' pass rush?

Obviously that game was much closer to a loss than it should have been, and mucho problems still abound....but I think we saw a "win one for the Gipper" type rally there, since it was Kromer's last game as interim to the interim assistant head coach...basically while still bad in a lot of places, every facet of the team that has been criticized or a weakness, every weak link, was a tiny little bit better this week. Even Hartley drilled that 51 yarder that wound up not counting, LOL. Straight up the middle and with room to spare, LOL.
