Awesome! I think I have actually maybe heard of that dude, your dad. Was he there a really long time, right? I am no stranger to the Monteleone and the Carousel Bar, my brother is one of those people who knows everybody and could probably write a book about people in the Quarter, and this all sounds very familiar!

My Dad was the bell captain here when I was a kid. The place hasn't changed much and one of the bellhops last year was still there from when I was a kid. WOW.

You won't recognise the Carousel Lounge. They've expanded it all the way to Iberville Street and added a bunch of those bay windows that look out over Royal. They just completed the renovation and I haven't been inside yet. I assume they still have the Carousel but I don't know where the piano is.
