Stecker shows backup promise
Running back has a solid game while Deuce hangs loose Saturday, August 14, 2004 By Brian Allee-Walsh Staff writer Saints running back Aaron Stecker served as special teams captain Saturday night against the New York Jets, but his biggest contributions came on offense. Stecker replaced Deuce McAllister on the third series and finished with a game-high 42 yards on 11 carries, including a 20-yard run in the second quarter. Stecker shows promise.......
It appears that the Saint\'s knew what they were doing when they picked this guy up. He looks like a good compliment to Deuce.
I also think the Saint\'s made another good move in picking up Craft, he performed very well last night and I just think the DB\'s as a group will continue to improve. |
