Haslett and Linebackers

I've been trying to figure out for the last two years how Haslett could have been a linebacker and not be able to scout good linebackers. For that matter, why he doesn't seem to be aware how important they are to a good defense. If anyone has an answer, I'd love to hear it, but for now this is all I could come up with.

Background: Three-time defensive end All-America at Indiana University (Penn.) from 1975-78, and was inducted into College Football Hall of Fame in 2001.

Maybe his college days were the "best days of his life" and so he is more in touch with defensive ends. :D
