According to WWL Bless You Boys App, Sproles had surgery on a broken hand and will miss Monday's game.

Cadet is probably more suited for Sproles scat back role.

Broken hand...that sucks! I know they haven't been using him much for the running game lately. I'm a big fan of Sproles. He's my home town Olathe KS guy. Wishing him a speedy recovery.

You never know, they might forget the scat back role for Monday night and go to a full blown power running style with Pierre, Ingram and ivory

That would keep the eagles guessing seen as they have probably been studying what type of things we get sproles to do

True, but with Roby also out Cadet is going to have return punts and kicks so he might not play as many offensive downs.

The Saints played Sunday night, it is now Friday.

They knew, they just didn't want to tip their hand to the eagles until they had too. He already had the surgery.

People, people, can we PLEASE read the articles before we nitpick more little things to pile on and pick on the coaches about? According to NFL.com he already had the surgery. Budsdrinker is 100% right.

It would also help if they actually watched the games before spewing the same inaccurate nonsense about certain players.;)

Thankfully I didn't watch the second half. I just had that feeling of impending doom. I pretty much haven't said squat since.

I think more people should take that path. If watching the Saints suck causes you to freak out enough to post some of insane crap I've seen posted in the last week you should probably turn the game off and find something more pleasant to do. Why torture yourselves. (Not directed at you Danno)

Sproles out!

More bad news for our team!

Oh well! Lets get Ivory kitted up and out on the turf!

This may be his chance to shine as long as the coaches give him the call and he doesn't fumble the ball! I have a lot of respect for Ivory! Good luck to him, I hope he does well!

GEAUX SAINTS!!!!!

Trust me Boutte, I'm with you on this. I've seen posts that say we should cut the entire defense and start from zero players. And it wasn't just 1 or 2 people posting this nonsense either.

The typical boneheaded response is "it couldn't get any worse". Uhh, yes it can.

I'm probably in the minority but I not only watch every play of every game regardless of the score, I re-watch it later to see who did what right or wrong.

If these aren't strong enough, you may want the 1000mg... ;)

I never said zero, just keep maybe 6 at the most. Does that help?

What was Sproles' injury in the preseason? I can't remember and I'm too drunk to find it out on my own. :-)

Any coach talking about an injured player: "Next man up."

Me: "That's what she said."

Exactly what I did as well. Sometimes ya gotta step away for a bit.

Re: Sproles has surgery

The Biloxi Sun Herald suggests Darren Sproles' fractured hand could cost him up to eight weeks of action.

The Sun Herald allows that Sproles could return sooner if he's able to play with a cast on the hand. We would presume a pass-catching running back would have a far harder time playing with a casted hand than most other positions. The Saints provided no timetable for Sproles' return at coach Joe Vitt's Friday presser, but clearly fantasy owners should brace for a multi-week absence

Re: Sproles has surgery

I actually like this development, not Sproles being hurt of course, but that we can get Ivory and Cadet on the field. We are not going to be able to keep all these RB's and since we are going nowhere fast and down 2 draft picks we are going to need some trade bait.

All we will hear from now on is how injury prone darren sproles is when this is like the first injury he's had

Same thing happened with Pierre thomas, he tears his ACL in 2010 and misses 8 games, people start saying how he's always injured and never healthy!
it was his first injury since he got here

Well, what about that injury (knee) Sproles had in the preseason, which kept him on the sidelines in all but one game, and even then he had very limited snaps?!

Maybe, but I doubt it. He's a pretty popular and productive player so I think people will view it for what it is.

There may be a couple biased Ivory supporters that may point to it in order to counter Ivory's injury reputation, but I don't think most of us will.

True, Sproles hadn't missed a single regular season game in the past 4 seasons until now, so he is far from being injury-prone when you factor in the amount of snaps and, consequently, the amount of tackles he has endured during that time-span.
