Just my thoughts ...
Saints fans lets face it. We are on the cusp of being on the cusp ( See what I did there )
We've faced Aaron Rodgers in Green Bay We've faced Peyton Manning in Denver even though we were destroyed we will not face a more daunting task this season. If we can get our defense to make plays we will be just fine ... In fact , we look eerily similar to the Packers and Giants when they won it all ... Sometimes you fight best when every game is the last one you can't lose |

Never take away someone's dream. Sometimes that's all they have.
Look, we took advantage of a wounded offensive line tonight. That's not all that happened but that had to happen for us to get the W. |

Re: Just my thoughts ...
Thought last night was a good example of what I expected from the Saints this season ... a defense that would bend & give up a big play now-and-then, but not break, and an offense that you could be confident would score/move the ball at will and put up more points then the defense would allow. Now, it was Philadelphia, but I'm not going to let that detract from the moment.
The Saints needed this one, and they went out and got it. If you look past the missed tackles and blown coverages, you might have seen the defense coming together just a little bit more ... the offense had that tempo that's been missing this year ... everything seemed to click ... it was the first Saints' game I watched this year where I didn't think something was out of sync ... this was the 'real' New Orleans Saints on the field. I don't know how to put it, but I think they reached their 'saturation point' last night ... the point at which they've had enough of the bull**** and the losing and they can ignore it all and just go out there and do what they do ... anyway, that's the impression I got from last night's game, . |

Cusp of the cusp is fine for HS athletics.
In the NFL even the cusp will get you slaughtered. This is a league where .2s and 5 lbs makes a world of difference. |

Re: Just my thoughts ...
The Saints beat a bad team at home. The Eagles o-line might be the worst in the NFL. Vick is a shell shocked QB. The Saints, love and respect him, are better without Sproles. More balanced. Less predictable. Ingram finally got to show his skills in the passing game. Ivory can do it all and without a doubt provides a spark. The Saints run D is not good. The secondary blows way to many coverages. This week against the Falclowns is the season.

Agreed, even Gruden pointed out last night when Brees was stripped in the red zone Cadet ran the wrong route and didn't get open which allowed the pressure to get to Brees. It was the same play that Sproles cuts across the middle and Brees hits him in stride.
