Re: Saints win over Eagles
The main reason the Saints won against the Eagles, has to be that Monday Night magic the Saints have had for a while now.
On a more serious note, Saints defense is still really pathetic, but did ball up in the red zone. Still, gave up 447 yards to a team with no offensive line. One thing I do like is the Saints did kind of regroup after being torched by the Eagles running game early on. It really wasn't so horrible after the 1st quarter. Loved the pick 6 from 99 yards out, lost my voice on that one. Brees had an off game again, but the running game did finally help him out. If the Saints can continue to run the ball effectively, and Brees doesn't need to be superman, I would suspect the defense can make some strides. Still need to reverse that time of possession back to the Saints favor. In the end, with the Eagles being down and they went on a long time consuming drive late in the game, knew it was over in the Saints favor. |

Re: Saints win over Eagles
Defense was more aggressive but can't say they were much improved. They were gashed over and over by the run early. If the Eagles could score when given the opportunity, we would have lost. On the good side, our running game looked much better. Ingram finally looked better and Ivory was a welcome return. Still need alot of improvement to beat Atlanta.

Re: Saints win over Eagles
The Saints played better but the Eagles O Line is just ridiculously bad.
I'm hoping the real reason is that Vitt is beginning to exert his influence and that his leadership and savvy are going to turn this thing around. |

Heck, even Roman Harper caught an INT. AS FOR THIS THREAD - totally agree with Boutte - that o-line for the Eagles was one of the WORST I've ever seen. |

Re: Saints win over Eagles
Should have "others" as a choice.
The DEFENSE played aggressive, and was pretty stout in the Red Zone. Also, choices A & C were both pretty good. The Eagles are NOT a bad team. Their offensive line was hurting, but the Saints Defense wanted it more. |
