I'm sure Payton wants to talk about the money he lost this year. He took a hit for the team. How much of a hit had not been determined yet. Goodell did say he may allow Payton to recoup some . If Payton was even considering other offers he wouldn't have signed the extension in the first place. I don't really see a problem. Just media build up before his return.
