Excellent analysis as usual, Emory.
Based on the W-L records of both teams, I understand why you went with the Falcons. You also made a great point about the Eagles being able to rack up yards vs. the Saints last week, and that the Falcons will make those opportunities translate into points. My hope is that the Saints impress you enough with a solid performance vs. the Dirty Birds, and that we hand Atlanta their first loss of the season. Keep up the good work, Emory. |

Re: Football Gameplan's 2012 Wk 10 Saints v Falcons
Great preview once again!
The off tackle running has been a problem, but I think that the more games Vilma gets under his belt in the new position, the better tackler he becomes, which should translate to better run defense on the perimeter. Also, if the Saints could get Hawthorne back on the field, being the thumper he is, those OLB positions would start to look much better and in the process I'm sure that off tackle running would be much harder against the Saints. Nevertheless, I expect the Failclowns to have another good day of running the ball against the Saints' defense, because every other team has. Also, I cringe at the mere thought of the Saints' DBs going againts the Failclowns' receivers, but maybe they'll have a great game for a change... who knows?! I think those flats are going to be effective for the Failclowns especially if they go no huddle. And getting match ups like Gonzales against Harper, or worse, Shanle will be something that the Saints will find hard to overcome during the game. I guess luck is something that the Saints will definitely need to get a W this Sunday, but I'm still confident in the Saints' team and I think they'll find a way to win this one if the ball bounces their way a couple of times. |
