Division lead is also calculated by overall all win/loss, inter-conference wins (NFC or AFC), points allowed per game etc. Check this out 2012 NFL Regular Season Divisional Standings - National Football League - ESPN See NFC north where the Vikings have a better Division record than the Bears, but the Vikes are also in 3rd place behind the Bears. |
