We have really nothing to compare to, but I think the Saint\'s run D will be improved, Favre will pass for more than Pennington did, but still not score a TD and Brook\'s will get his first TD pass of the year. I think it will be close, 20 to 10 Saint\'s of course.

What do I expect. Realistically? Hmmmmmmm....
I expect to see: 1. The good: I expect to see the run defense play a respectable game. The Packers have one of the best runningbacks in the game. We won\'t shut Ahman Green down completely. Just like they won\'t shut Deuce down completely. I\'d like to see us allow no more than 3.5 yards per carry. 2. The bad: We\'re going to give up some plays. We\'re going to miss a few tackles. Might even commit a few penalties... 3. The ugly: Hey, we might even give up a big play in the passing game. Favre is certainly capable. Even against the best defenses. Wouldn\'t shock me one bit. Overall: I just want to see some improvement stopping the run by the starters. And see the secondary take away the underneath routes. Oh, yeah, I\'d like to see us run an effective screen pass and stop a couple too. |

As far as this game goes, it has the benefit of featuring another great RB for our D to get used to stopping, if they can. Had Ricky not retired all four games would have been like that. The more practice the better, I say. I\'m also interested in seeing how Brooks does in his first real action. Pack: 24 Saints: 17 |

I see much of the same we saw in the Jets game.
The D-line improving, but still needing work in Pease\'s system The offense looking out of rhythm, but still flash signs of explosiveness. The DB\'s making good and bad plays Hmmm. pretty much some positives and negatives from each unit. What I hope to see... James Allen diagnosing the bounce outside better. The interior holding their gaps longer. Watson continuing to learn and stay healthy. Melvin Williams or Tony Bryant turning some heads. Nathan Black, Bockwoldt, Craft, Harper, Leisle, Mitchel, Hilton, Stinchcomb, Mike Karney and Henderson get meaningful PT against GB\'s 1st or 2nd units. I also want to see more of Ronney Jenkins and Tavian Banks as a RB as well as a ST\'er. I think one may become our next Fred McAfee. What I\'ll probably see on these boards Monday... Every bad play (unless its by Deuce) will be shoved down everyones throat by some as a tell-all sign that this team is absolutely pathetic, and you are an idiot \"??pole-polisher??\" if you see it otherwise. Anyone posting something positive will be immediately discredited as a flaming sunshiner. Ahh, I love this place |

Danno - you said it perfectly... except you missed on part.
Certain persons will continue to post positives from the game as relevant but suggest the negatives are absolutely meaningless b/c it\'s preseason and preseason doesn\'t count. One thing - I don\'t care what the score is. I want our 1st teams to play better all around. Greater continuity, greater execution. GB is a good team and a good test IMO. |

The Seahawks ate GB for dinner, and we play the \'hawks season opener. I would hope we also chow down on the Packers - to give an indication that we can play at the same level as the Seahawks.
