I just wanted to dedicate a thread to watching, and talking about our game to game chances, and who has to win or lose for us to make it.
Seemed to be some confusion, and would be nice if we could all post in one place about how things change threw out the rest of the season.

Needless to say, we need to beat at least
49ers
Giants
Falcons
Bucs
to move up the charts, and hope they lose other games. But we are in a ok spot I think, and all of those teams are very beatable for us. Key target is Seattle's spot at 6-4, very doable if we beat the giants, and Seattle has a few loses with our 4-5 record.

We are still alive,but if Tampa ,Seattle and Minnesota keep winning is bad news for us . I dont even want to mention anything about Detroit,Dallas or Arizona... its such a grey area at 4-5 anything can happen .

We need to pull for every AFC team when they are playing a NFC team.

I agree, LOL, my second NFL team is now the AFC.

To Win Title at 11-5 is 1.1% :(, lol.

I like the Saints chances of making the playoffs. They are one of the few teams that are actually improving in the NFC. GB, Tampa, and the Seafoams are the other three. I'm not even sure what scenario I should root for though. Tampa has yet to play Atlanta. Maybe a split? Very difficult to say right now.

If we beat the Raiders this week we are one game behind the Seahawks and Vikings (and possibly the Bucs if they win this weekend), both who are on bye this week.
The last six games we only have to get one more win than those teams to go to tie breakers, 2 more and we are the 6th seed out right.

If saints go 5-2 and the Seahawks/Vikings go 3-3, we are in for sure, Saints go 5-2 and the Seahawks/Vikings go 4-2 and it's tiebreakers time.

We only need one spot, and that is the currently occupied by the Seahawks. I think this is right.

I'd bet money on the Saints going 5-2 over their last 7 over the Seahawks or Vikings going 4-2 over their last 6. The Vikings schedule is brutal.

Very interesting, Falcons have a lot of injuries

Playing the cardinals with the #5 ranked defense that beat the Patriots and us.

We know how badly they played against our defense. This might be a upset in the making with a low scoring game. Moving them down the charts to 2nd seed if the Bears beat the 49ers, who wont have Smith playing.

Making SF 49ers 6-3-1, and if we beat them 6-4-1, and the Saints 6-5

Vikings seem pretty doomed, I agree. Which brings into play that we might have to hope Falcons beat the Bucs, unfortunately. So we can move into their spot. Only other 2 teams that can get a win on them is US and Denver.
Im not worried about getting Falcons in the playoffs, they are the best team we could get to move forward to the 2nd round.

If that happens, I hope its the Bears. We have a better run game, and we owe them.
Kicking them out off the playoffs would be perfect for all the Katrina signs they had up.

I dont think our offense has a problem outside. Think thats a myth made up by the media. Look at the SF and Seahawks games.
Saints offense scored enough points to beat both those teams, and with players out.
The problem with the Saints outdoors is the defense. It usually crumbles. I think our defense has problems not playing in a dome.

I believe we have a good chance.

SF is winnable at home. In fact, more than just winnable
@Atlanta...............Imo, they already are intimidated by us. They could come out at anytime though but as of now, I say we can win there
@Giants.....Honestly between nine days rest I don't believe we lose both road games. If we lose to Atl we're going to be prepared for the giants game more.
TB--This is the game right here, looking tougher than what was expected a few weeks ago.
@Dal-I think we win, we're better. Also Dallas comes off a 5 day rest after playing the steelers.
Car-Obviously we should win.

Whats interesting is none of these games will be considered trap games. We know what to expect and never take home division opponents lightly. Thats why I say TB is our make or break game.

Everyone that should have lost to get us closer to playoffs , actually won... so its bad. We need at least !!! Tampa to keep loosing .

Totally with this line of thinking. Realistically, this team should be focused on running the table and executing. If they win, they're in. Its that simple.
