this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; The tune was decidedly off-key in Friday's night's preseason loss at New Orleans, where Robertson was credited with zero solo tackles, zero assists, zero sacks, zero everything. The numbers are a bit deceiving, in that Robertson battled hard against a ...

If I haven\'t made my position clear to you about what preseason means to me, then I never will. Sure it sounds good. But, what does it mean? Does it mean the interior of our O-line is going to dominate? I don\'t know....... I need to see more. Like I\'ve said 1000 times, I\'m not jumping to conclusions. Good or bad!! |

I\'m just messing with you here, ya know, and I do understand what you\'ve been trying to say.
However, how can something from a preseason game \"sound good\" if there\'s nothing to be learned from it? I just want to point out that you tend to put more stock in the positive things that happened in game 1 (as if it\'ll carry over into the season) while you simultaneously criticize people who do the same with negative information. Hey, there\'s not much else being talked about on this board today so we might as well drag this monkey around the yard a couple more times. |

Oh and before you say it, I\'m not criticizing you for being an optimist. There\'s certainly nothing wrong with that. Infact, you kind of have to be if you\'re a Saints fan since they\'ve never really proven they can win anything.
I really just find it enjoyable and a bit humorous how you\'re always defending the team\'s virtue. But don\'t stop. The world needs you just like it needs the Gatormen. |

I do not think the O line dominated at all.
The Jets put constant pressure on our QB all night in passing situations. Run game early did not show domination. I actually was concerned and thought that the O line looked bad. Must have seen a different game than you. |

Now I see where the confustion is. You think I put more stock in the positive news than the negative. That\'s simply NOT true. Have you been reading any of the negative stuff I\'ve been posting on this board for the last several months? Or the last couple of day even?! I have abolutely NO problem with the negative stuff. What I have a problem with is when folks use it to imply more than what it is. If someone says we had trouble stopping the run and it COULD be a sign of things to come. That\'s fine in my book. But: When someone says they just don\'t see us being able to stop the run this year because of what happened in the Jet\'s game. That\'s just plain ol\' silly. You\'ll have to judge for yourself which folks are posting what. If ANYONE is trying to tell me that we are going to have problems, and you\'re basing it off that ONE preseason game. Then you\'re the folks I\'ve been talking to. If no one is suggesting that, then I\'ve been wasting a lot of time... P.S. -- Scotty, you seem to have selective reading disorder.. :P Have you not been reading ALL the negative posts I\'ve made? I\'ll set some sunshiners straight if I think they\'re wrong... What\'s funny to me is that when I say something negative about the team, none of the \"moonshiners\", or the folks who say I put more stock in the positive stuff, ever reply to those posts. WhoDat and Gator, while we argue a hell of a lot, will cut through the BS and get down to the bottom of things. We just like to try and make each other look ... well .... foolish sometimes.. :P In the end, the guys who focus more on the negative, make me stop and rethink things. I like that. But they do frustrate me to no end sometimes. |
