The New Orleans Saints (5-5)and San Francisco 49ers (7-2-1) will meet for the first time since the Divsional Round of the 2011 playoffs, where the 49ers eliminated the Saints, 36-32. The Saints have won four of their last five games, while the 49ers come off a 32-7 win over the Chicago Bears on Monday Night Football. The Saints will have to prepare for the possibility of two quarterbacks, regular starter Alex Smith, or his backup, Colin Kaepernick, who started in his place against the Bears.
49ERS OFFENSE 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh said he'll start the "hot hand" at quarterback against the Saints on Sunday. It's not so clear who that hot hand is. Smith has been locked in at starter for years, and has been having one of his best seasons to date. He was almost perfect against the Arizona Cardinals Oct. 29, completing 18-of-19 passes for 232 yards and three touchdowns. But he suffered a concussion last week against the St. Louis Rams and sat out Monday's game. His backup, 2nd-year player Kaepernick, has been more than sufficient in his place. Kaepernick threw for 117 yards and rushed for 66 with one touchdown against the Rams. He completed 16-of-23 passes for 243 yards and two touchdowns against the Bears Read more: New Orleans Saints vs. San Francisco 49ers: Week 12 scouting report - New Orleans Saints Football NFL News - NOLA.com |

Re: New Orleans Saints vs. San Francisco 49ers: Week 12 scouting report
I think our defense is showing signs of not only improving (especaily in the RZ) but being better than last years. That should help to provide a different outcome.
I mean, C'MON MAN..how do you still almost win with 5 turn overs. I don't think they can keep up with the Drew Crew. |
